Can you help if my WordPress site is offline or the host has suspended the account?
Yes, exactly these emergencies are among our most common enquiries. If your website is unreachable, shows warnings or your host has reported malware, we first prioritise containment and a structured analysis. This is followed by the clean-up and coordinated reactivation by the host.
What do you need to get started?
Ideally the URL, a short description and, if available, access to the WordPress backend, hosting, FTP or SSH. If you don't have everything, that's no problem. Even with limited access, a lot can often be assessed.
How long does the WordPress clean-up take?
That depends on the scope. Many cases with a single installation and a known attack pattern can be assessed and cleaned within one working day. More complex infections with several backdoors or blacklist entries take longer. You get a realistic assessment as early as possible.
How do I know the malicious code has really been removed completely?
You don't just get a bare “all done” message, but clear, traceable feedback: what did we find? What was cleaned? Which gap was closed? What do we recommend as next steps?
Do you also help with WooCommerce shops, Joomla or multiple installations?
Yes. We clean WordPress, WooCommerce shops, Joomla, subdomains and multiple installations. If several websites share one hosting package, we take that into account directly in the analysis.
What does the WordPress clean-up cost?
After the initial assessment, we give you a clear price before we start. Clean-up and hardening are itemised transparently. You only pay after successful work. No payment in advance, no risk.
Which WordPress plugins are most often the entry point?
Mostly plugins that haven't been updated for a long time or whose development has been discontinued, such as slider, form or page builder extensions. You can see which extensions are currently being actively attacked, updated daily, in our security archive.
Is a security plugin like Wordfence enough to remove the hack?
Scanners find known patterns, but often miss hidden backdoors, manipulated database entries or scheduled tasks that recreate the malicious code. That's why we also check manually and close the cause, not just the symptom.
Do I have to set up WordPress completely from scratch after a hack?
In most cases, no. We replace core files with clean originals, check plugins and themes individually and clean the database. A rebuild is only necessary if the installation is badly outdated or can no longer be maintained.
What happens to my content and orders during the clean-up?
Posts, pages, media and WooCommerce orders are preserved. We create a backup before every intervention so that nothing is lost.
How do I prevent WordPress from being hacked again?
Regular updates, few and well-maintained plugins, strong passwords with two-factor login and monitoring that reports changes to files. On request, we take care of this permanently as part of our WordPress maintenance.
My WordPress shows spam pages on Google that don't even exist. What is that?
That is a typical spam injection: the attacker generates pages that only search engines see. We remove the cause, let the spam addresses expire cleanly and help with the clean-up in Google Search Console.
